Electrophysiology-Driven Brain Mapping

During this period, neurophysiological signals and direct brain recordings became central to linking neural activity with cognition, development, trauma, and disease across species. Electroencephalography and related brain potentials were developed as tools for recording, interpretation, and clinical assessment, shaping both research and diagnostic practice.
